Tutorial - Distressed/Ripped Jeans.

Hi Everyone!

Today's post is a distressed/ripped jeans tutorial!
These jeans were super easy to create and look so edgy and chic.

Things you will need:
Chalk
Scissors
Wet sponge
Old pair of jeans

Firstly, put your old jeans on and find your knee cap.

Then, draw a ling across your knee cap with the chalk.
Tip: To get a thick, opaque line, break the chalk in half
and use the broken end to draw your line.

Take off the jeans and lay them flat on the floor.

Next, pinch one side of the jean pant and snip along the chalk line your scissors.
Be careful not to cut through to the other side.

Cut straight along the chalk line until you can fit 3 fingers in the hole.

Try on the jeans and if you'd prefer the holes to be wider,
cut further towards the outside equally on both sides.

Take the jeans off and place the tip of the scissors into the first thread,
pull the scissors up and out (in a semi-circle motion) and pull the thread out.
Do this until you have a desired amount of distressing/ripping.

When you're finished distressing/ripping the jeans, take a damp sponge
and wipe off the chalk line.

 And you're done !

These can be paired with so many shirts and jackets.

How I would style:
Pairing these jeans with a dark, graphic tee, a checkered scarf,
Combat boots and a leather jacket would create an edgy, chic look.

I hope you liked this tutorial!

Until next time..

Wednesday Addams Makeup Tutorial.

Hi Everyone!

Today's post is Wednesday Addams Halloween tutorial!

Firstly I created sad, dark and tired eyes using a grey eyeshadow
all over the lids, up to the brow and under my eyes. blending it right out.
Then I took a small amount of black and put it through the crease and
in the inner corner, right next to the bridge of the nose.
I lined my tightline with a black pencil liner to darken my lash line.
I filled in my eyebrows with black eyeshadow.

Then I applied some brown lipstick and patted some black eyeshadow
on the inside part of my lip. This created depth and darkened up my lips.

I created a fake widows peak with black eyeshadow and a black pencil liner.

I braided my wig into two braids.

This is the completed look!

This is a great look for parties and get togethers!

Halloween Tutorial - Stitches

Hi Everyone!

Today's post is very special!
My very first YouTube tutorial!

This Halloween season, I've been creating YouTube videos
to show you all!
The very first is a super easy decapitated head and stitches
Halloween look!
Created by using makeup!

Here is the link:

The products I used were :

Bobbi Brown Blush- I used this to make the neck wound look
raised and inflamed.

Rimmel Blush Trio: I used this to deepen the redness of the skin
and to blend colors together.

Kate Moss Lipstick 09 by Rimmel : I used this to act as blood,
I wanted this look to be achievable for everyone, I wasn't going to spend
money on products not everyone could get a hold of.

Oasis - Chi Chi Palettes: The black and the darkest blue came in very handy
as they acted as bruising/cool toned colors.

Bronzes - Chi Chi Palettes: I used mostly the redish purple and the dark purple
colors from this palette. ( 2nd and 3rd from the right )

DiorShow Art Pen- I used this to draw on the stitches,
 I wouldn't recommend using such a high-end makeup product,
I would go for a Rimmel or Maybeline Eeeliner next time.

This look is mostly just layering colors until you're happy with it.

When I started on my face makeup,
I left most of my face clear of products because
I wanted a natural and more pale look,
I sculpted out my face with
the bruised tones and made myself look very tired.

I hope this helps anyone looking for an easy makeup/costume
for Halloween!

How I Style - Mean Green.

 Hi Everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't been posting very often,
I've been trying to organize Halloween tutorials for you all!
If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment or contact me!

Today's post is about how I styled a vibrant printed dress
that I bought in Sydney the other day!

Its a short, flowing dress that has palm leaves, birds and flowers on it.
I thought it looked too boring, so I played around with
some different accessories and now it's probably my favorite thing
to wear in the whole wide world!

The belt pulls in the waist, creating more of an hourglass figure.

I never thought green would look nice on me,
but it suits my skin tone really well! so I urge everyone to go outside
of their comfort zone and try on things that you wouldn't usually go for!

These are some of the accessories I paired with the dress:

Earrings: Colette by Colette Hayman
Watch: Wallace Bishop
Stackable Rings: Colette by Colette Hayman
Belt: Target ( might not be available, it was bought a while ago )
Sandals: Tony Bianco

Thankyou so much for reading,
and until next time..

I absolutely love this outfit.
Its's so casual, playful and super comfortable!
Great for spring and summer!

Shirt: Supre- This top is so comfortable and soft!

at a fashion event at the start of the year and it's probably
the best skirt i'v ever owned!

Cardigan: Cotton On- I stole this cardigan from my mum
because it fits me like an oversized knit, it's so fluffy and warm,
definitely a staple item in my wardrobe!

Rings: Colette By Colette Hayman- i have collected a bunch of these
stack-able rings over the last year or two. I like to pair these with
most of my outfits. So simple and they add a little
something to every outfit!

one black and gold and one white and gold.
They go with pretty much everything!

Review - They're Real Mascara And Dior Show Art Pen Liner.

Good evening everyone!

Today's post is a review on
They're Real Mascara And Dior Show Art Pen Liner.

Firstly, They're Real mascara.

I was doing my research (as I do with all the products I buy)
and the they're Real Mascara looked good, it was ranked very high on many top
mascara reviews and
I though it was a fair price, at around 35 AUD, so I gave it a go!

To me, the brush was a typical thick brush with smaller bristles.
I don't usually go for these types of wands but it looked promising!
The formula also looked fairly thick.

I put it on one eye, all seemed good. I was impressed!
It was a little thick but it was workable.
The picture above is one quick coat.
If this was the result every time I would more than likely use it everyday!

But then, I did the other eye, and it turned into a total disaster!
I was doing the exact same thing as before and
it went all gluggy and gross.
It was so so thick and it literally looked like I had 3 eyelashes.
After separating the eyelashes and coating my bottom lashes,
I could feel my top and bottom eyelashes getting
stuck together at the outer edge.
I know some girls like this look and would think I'm crazy
for giving this product a negative review, but it just didn't work for me.

Now, onto the good stuff!

The Dior Show Art Pen eyeliner is probably the best that has ever
been in my makeup collection!

The picture above is what the actual liner looks like.
Because it's like a pen, it so easy to apply!
Even if you don't have a steady hand!
I've had this liner for about 48 hours and I can already apply
it so quickly, its ridiculous!

The super fine tip lets you get right into the inner corner
and also lets you created thin cat eye flicks !

I'm so glad I bought this eyeliner!
I love it so much!
It is on the high end side of makeup,
so it's a little pricey,
but you get what you pay for in my opinion!

Thanks for reading and
I hope this helped anyone looking into these two products!

until next time!

My Favourite Up-coming Trends - Spring 2014 Edition

Spring is just around the corner!

This post will show you my favourite trends that are up and coming
for Spring 2014. All of my pictures are sourced from pinterest using the tag
'spring style'.

Spring is my second favourite season,
(Winter will forever have my heart!)
I love the cute baby animals, the smell of fresh flowers
and mostly the fashion.
I love how easy and casual you can make your outfit,
but you can also dress it up simply to look
elegant and flawless.

Here are some of my favourite new trends:

Maxi skirts were made to be paired with plain lace tops!
It looks so effortlessly elegant!
I love how she paired her maxi with a crochet crop
and nude heels.
So flirty and fun!

Play-suits come in all shapes and sizes.
My personal favourite is the long pant style!
Her tan bag and nude heels pull her outfit together perfectly
and her hat and sunglasses finish off her look flawlessly.
The bralette underneath adds a beautiful feminine touch.

Big patterns are totally in at the moment,
especially this big blown out leopard print.
I have seen it everywhere in all different colors,
the blue is definitely a favourite of mine!
The gold and black accessories are a perfect choice for this outfit!

Layering and Kimonos are a must for spring!
If it's just going into spring where you are,
layering different textures and colors
can improve your outfit so much and make it comfortable
for your climate.
If it's too cold, throw a light kimono on,
if it's too hot, roll it up and chuck it in your bag!
Adding a kimono to a plain outfit can add
some color and comfort to your outfit!

A plain skirt and a plain top.
So simple, yet so elegant.
Choosing the right skirt that fits your body shape
can make you look so flawless without even trying!
Her shoes look like they have some kind of
embellishment on them,
adding that extra bling the outfit needed!
My advice?
Keep it simple and don't over dress!

Same simple idea but
for a more casual look:
Switch heels for sandals and let your hair out!
It can make a huge difference!

These are my favourite up-coming trends for Spring 2014.
I hope you like my tips about styling these looks at home.

Chic Bolt Bracelet!

Holla!

When I was looking through the popular page on my Instagram,
I saw this super cute bolt bracelet.
And i thought, that would be so fun and easy to make!
So, today's post is a tutorial on how to make an Industrial inspired bolt bracelet!

What you will need :

- 1 pack of small bolts.
I purchased mine at the local hardware store
and they were $5.85 for a pack of 100.
-1  pack of black/white elastic (4 meters)
I purchased this at the dollar store for $2.
-Scissors

How to :

Depending on the amount of bolts you want to put on each rung,
40cm - One per rung.
50cm - Two per rung.
60cm - Three per rung.
Cut your elastic to your desired size.

Making sure the bolts are in the middle of the elastic,
start threading the bolts through the elastic.

One side of the elastic through the right side,

And the other through the left.

Pull both sides of the elastic through evenly. The bolts should look like the picture above and also should be in the center of the elastic.
Its important it has a small loop at the start, before the bolts.

Continue this step until the bracelet wraps around your wrist.
Make sure the bracelet is pulled tight each time you thread the bolts through.
I alternated which way the bolts faced, to give it an uneven effect.

Once the all the required bolt are threaded onto the elastic,
pull both sides really tightly so that there is no gaps between the rung of bolts.
Tie a tight double knot.

Thread one side of the elastic through the loop
where we started to make the bracelet and tie a triple knot.
Now it should look like a bracelet!

Cut off the excess elastic and
stretch the bracelet out so its all the bolts are evenly spaced out.

And there we have it !
A chic, industrial inspired bracelet that shine in the sunlight!
I would pair this bracelet with gold, silver and black bracelets, watches and rings.
It's Great for layering Jewelry too !
It's so cheap and easy to make, at a total cost of $7.85,
it makes about 3 bracelets.
It honestly would be silly not to make it !

if you decide to make with wonderful bracelet,
post it on instagram and hashtag #chasemystyle
so I can see your recreation!

Thanks for reading and
Until next time..
