Grunge Makeup Tutorial!

Holla Everyone!

Today's post is a dark, grungy makeup tutorial.
My sister Alysha volunteered to help me out and be my model for the afternoon.
This makeup look was super easy and will look amazing on anyone!

Lets get started!

I started off with her base.
Foundation - Napoleon Perdis: Advanced Mineral Makeup, in Look 2 Light
Concealer - MAC: Mineralized Concealer in NC20
Contour - MAC: Refined Golden
Bronzer - MAC: Give Me Sun!
Blush - MAC: Dainty
(The blush is mean't to be faint, so its barely visible)

I started her eyes with a light cappuccino color all over the lid and blended it out as a transition shade. This makes blending colors together much easier. Then I added a under the eyebrow highlight. I used a very light cream colored shadow.

I then added a darker, sparkly maroon/brown to her crease and blended it out. I felt as though it wasn't dark enough so I added an even darker brown to the outer section of the eyelid.

I lined her eyes with a dark brown gel eyeliner from Clinique and flicked it out. I chose a brown liner because it kept her eyes softer, if I used a black it would have made her eye makeup look too heavy for her face.

I lightly filled in her eyebrows with The Body Shop - Brow and Liner kit in 02.
I put mascara on her super duper long eyelashes. So jealous! They're incredibly long!

I finished off this grunge look with a dark purple/plum lipstick from Australis, its actually called Grunge!

 This is the end result!

Skin Care - How to keep skin looking flawless!

Holla friends!

it doesn't matter if you wear alot of make-up or none at at all, it is so important to look after you skin and keep it clean and healthy.
Although I don't have many acne/face problems, I do like to keep my face clean and flawless by using good quality products.

The products I use are mostly clinique, which is a brand you can buy at David Jones, Myer or online. It is a little bit pricey, but they last so so long and they work amazing wonders on your skin. I do this routine once a day, EVERY SINGLE DAY!

In 3 easy, quick steps I'll show you how to make your skin look flawless!

Step 1: Cleansing.
Cleansing your skin will wash away all the dirt in your pores. Run some warm water and splash some onto your face to start. Pump a small amount onto your fingertips ( about the size of a 10c piece). Massage it all over your face. Once you feel like your face is all washed, rinse it off and pat dry with a clean towel.

Step 2: Exfoliate.
This isn't like the usual beady exfoliating scrub. Its more like a toner. Once you've dried your face, put a little of the liquid onto a make-up pad ( you only need the tiniest little dribble of it ). Swipe it all over your face and let it dry ( if you have open sores on your face, it will sting a little but its not damaging your skin). This will close your pores and keep the dirt out.

Step 3: Moisturising.
This is the most important step of all! If you don't moisturise after cleansing and exfoliating there is no point doing any of it. Your skin needs to be re-hydrated other wise it will become super dry and flaky and nobody wants that!
Pump 2 pumps onto your hand and rub it all over your face and down your neck. When you rub it down your neck, rubbing it up towards your face is the proper way to do it as dragging it down makes the skin sag over time.

Additional steps:

Turnaround Overnight - This product helps my skin re-hydrate even more than normal moisturisers. In winter, the skin on the top of my nose and the gap between my eyebrows gets super duper dry, it gets all flaky and gross! After doing my 3 step skin care routine, I dip my finger into the little pot, getting the smallest amount and rub it into the driest parts of my face. This is my life saver!

All About Eyes - This product is designed to reduce puffy eyes and under eye circles, it helps alot in the morning if I've had a bad sleep or if I'm just generally feeling tired. It will help brighten your eyes up!
I personally prefer the normal all about eyes over the richer one ( the rich one is just thicker ).

Bepanthen First Aid cream - If you get pimples that turn into scabby gross things like I do, this will be a necessity in your routine! Dab a generous amount onto your blemish and leave it to sink it for about half an hour and it reduces redness and the size of it! Although, keep in mind its not going to clear it up straight away, it might take a couple of treatments.
For an even better result, put a pretty big blob onto your blemish and put a PLASTIC bandaid over it for about 2 and a half to 3 hours. I did this 3 times over 1 hand a half days and my scabby pimple was gone completely!

Alrighty then! If you've stayed around and read it all, Thankyou! I hope this helps you!
It would mean alot if you used the email subscribe tool, (at the top left hand side) you' ll be sent an email whenever I post next!
So, until the next post..

DISCLAIMER:
This is what works well for my skin. If you decide to invest in some clinique products, consult the professionals about the right products for you. I'm also not saying my skin is absolute perfection because like every normal person I get blemishes too.
This is not a sponsored post, this is all my own opinion.
